We the team Greencross Vets Morwell are here to support you and your pet. We are located between Morwell and Traralgon, near the Latrobe Regional Hospital, where we have been providing exceptional care to companion animals for over 40 years.

We offer a comprehensive range of professional veterinary services to cater for all your pet needs, ranging from preventative health care to weight loss programs through to diagnostic medicine and surgery including orthopaedic.

Although Greencross Vets is part of a national organisation our practice is run and managed by a team of dedicated vets, nurses and support staff, who understand the importance and value the bond between you and your pet. Our team is committed to offering you and your pet’s exceptional service, and the very best in veterinary medicine and preventative health care, whilst also ensuring we treat you and your pets with great care and compassion.

We encourage you to contact us directly should you have any questions about your pet’s health and wellbeing or if you simply want more information about the services that we can provide you and your pets.

Unfortunately, we are no longer able to offer an after hours service at our clinic. Where possible, please seek veterinary care for your pet within normal business hours in order to ensure that we are able to provide care. We have extended our trading hours and are newly available for in-hours Sunday consultations to provide your pet family with more local trading options. Thank you for your understanding.

Greencross Vets Morwell offer a comprehensive range of professional veterinary services to cater for all your pet care needs utilising the latest diagnostic equipment.

Desexing

Getting your pet desexed (neutered or spayed) is essential to their health. All Greencross Vets facilities are completely sterile and use the latest in surgical equipment.

Vaccinations

Prevention is the best medicine. Kitten and puppy vaccinations (injections) and adult pet vaccinations prevent disease. Get your pet’s vaccinations up-to-date.

Heartworm Prevention

Heartworm can be hard to detect, but it needn’t be hard to prevent. Greencross Vets recommends year round heartworm prevention. Ask your vet about prevention today.

Dentistry

Greencross Vets offer a range of dentistry services like cat and dog teeth cleaning. Consider us your pet’s veterinarian and dentist combined.

Puppy Pre-School

Greencross Vets Puppy School is an excellent starting point for owners wanting a well-managed and socialised pet. Courses run for four to six weeks. Click to learn more.

Ultrasound

An ultrasound is a painless diagnostic procedure that allows vets to take a closer look at your pet’s health. We only use the latest technology for the most accurate diagnoses.

X-ray/Radiology

Greencross Vets clinics are equipped with high-quality radiograph equipment including X-ray machines, automatic processors, and X-ray view equipment.

Clinical Pathology

Clinical pathology allows our vets to analyse and diagnose health conditions. Common laboratory tests include blood tests, urinalysis, faecal tests and biopsy examination.

Laboratory Testing

The latest in-house laboratory equipment allows our vets to perform a range of diagnostic tests to achieve accurate, rapid diagnosis of your pets’ health status.

Trainee Veterinary Nurse

Caitlyn has aspired to being a vet nurse for as long as she can remember. She absolutely adores all animals/creatures (minus spiders) and has an interest in snakes because of how different they are to most pets, she find them extremely beautiful and fascinating. Greencross Vets has been her first place of employment since graduating and we couldn’t be prouder! She has a professional interest in anaesthesia and hopes to develop in this area over time.

She is a pet parent to a cat named Tommy that was adopted from the pound where she volunteered for three years. She also adopted a guinea pig Morty when he very unwell and has now been nursed back to health living it up in his little mansion.
Caitlyn finished a double Certificate in Animal Studies (Cert III 3 in Animal Studies and Cert III in Companion Animal Services) and continues to develop her professional skills by furthering her studies while she is working.
In light of my love for animals she is a vegetarian and happy to share any delicious plant based recipes!

Trainee Veterinary Nurse Receptionist

Tanisha is the new vet nurse/receptionist of our clinic, having completed work experience here in 2017. She returned in 2020 to be a part of our Greencross Vets internship program, which helped her gain a Certificate II in Animal Studies and employment with our company. With a Certificate II in Racing Industry and a Certificate III in Animal Companion Services, Tanisha wishes to further her study in Certificate IV Veterinary Nursing. When Tanisha isn’t working at the clinic she’s at home spending time with her cheeky cat Louie. Tanisha also has a love for her reading, cooking, and venturing out to do something active with friends.

Veterinary Nurse/Practice Manager

Recently Adam joined the Greencross Vets Morwell clinic as Practice Manager bringing with him over eight years of vet nursing experience. He brings with him a huge passion for feline medicine and behavior, having spent a lot of personal time focusing studies in this area. Currently he is enrolled in the Bachelor of Veterinary Technology through Charles Sturt university and his goal is to contribute the the future development of animal care.
As a practice manager, Adam has a focus on community, developing long standing, trusting relationships with all of our clients, patients and staff. Adam devotes a lot of time to each client to ensure they each feel assured that their pet is in the safest of hands.

Adam is an equal rights advocate, making Greencross Vets Morwell the first “LGBTQI+ welcome” certified clinic in this region and is passionate about providing a safe space for all individuals in the community.
He is looking forward to the new campaigns and services that the Morwell clinic will begin to offer in the near future, ensuring that our patients are in the best care, with the best facilities possible.

Cassidy began her career at Greencross Vets Morwell based on her love for all animals big and small. Recently, she completed her Certificate III in Animal Studies and is eager to continue her professional development. Currently, her strong interest is surgical nursing and she looks forward to developing her skills in this area and developing her large (farm) animal knowledge.
At home she has have a German Shepheard ‘Jax’, who spends most of his time by her side and is a regular visitor at the clinic. With Jax at toe she often is found outside enjoying horse riding.

Veterinary Associate

Glenene graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2006 and has been working in small animal practice since graduation. She has worked in Geelong, Melbourne and Adelaide before starting at Greencross Morwell in July 2013. Glenene is interested in working up medical cases, rabbits and emergency medicine. Outside of work she likes to go running with a Border Terrier named Pilot, do Pilates, watch movies and spend time with her husband and two young daughters. Glenene has 2 cats, Cinta and Matilda, and a Princess Parrot named Nicki.

Veterinary Nurse

Jodi has been a Veterinary nurse in both large and small animal clinics for many years, having obtained her Certificate IV in Veterinary nursing 22 years ago followed by her Veterinary Technician Certificate five years ago.
Jodi also holds certificates in Equine Nursing and Artificial Insemination Technician and has a keen interest in animal nutrition and behaviour.
In her down time she will be found with her beloved Arabian horses whom she dedicates much of her personal time to.
